Police Friendship Football final

COOCH BEHAR, Dec. 23: Final match of the Cooch Behar District Police Friendship Football Tournament was held today at Police Lines Ground in Cooch Behar. Bhanukumari GP team of Baxirhat won by 4-2 goals defeating Barokoimari GP team of Sitalkuchi. At the first half the match was a draw (1-1). Deciding goals came at tiebreaker. The wining was awarded with Rs 50,000 and Sourav Ganguli signed jerseys while the runners-up team got Rs 30,000 and Sourav Ganguli signed jerseys. Eminent persons like veteran footballer Mr PK Banerjee, cricketer Mr Shib Sankar Pal, special IGP (Jalpaiguri Range) Mr Z Hassan and Cooch Behar SP Mr DP Singh were present at the final match. []
