HS : Mrinmay Das of Alipurduar is probable first in NB
COOCH BEHAR, June 1: Mrinmay Das of Alipurduar Railway Higher Secondary School in Jalpaiguri district is the probable first position holder of Higher Secondary examination in north Bengal. He secured 454 marks in science stream. Mrinmay’s father, Mr Kajal Kanti Das is the Senior Engineer (IT) in Northeast Railway’s Alipurduar division. Though his mother, Mrs Seli Das is merely a homemaker she is the main inspiration of his son. According to marksheet Mrinmay’s marks are as follows : Bengali – 85, English – 82, Physics – 92, Mathematics – 99, Chemistry – 96 and Biology – 89. Not a doctor or an engineer, Mrinmay is interested in joining administrative service after completion of his studies. He said her mother helped him a lot everyday to achieve success. The principal of the school, Mr Dipak Mukherjee said the academic record of Mrinmay was very good always. “We extended him all help to go ahead and he proved his worth”, the proud principal said.
Dipayan Chanda of Gobinda High School in Alipurduar secured 453 in science stream. He is the believed to be in the top-ten brigade.
Aritra Bidyananda of Tufanganj Nripendra Narayan Memorial High School in Cooch Behar secured 433 marks. Some other good scorers are : Debashri Chanda (427) of Sunity Academy, Cooch Behar, Dwaipayan Barman (413) of Mathabhanga High School, Anuj Bal (412) of Manindranath High School, Cooch Behar. []
