FORWARD BLOC

Vote : Forward Bloc's workers convention

COOCH BEHAR, Feb. 17: Keeping eye on the ensuing Lok Sabha election the Forward Bloc organised party workers conventions at all the seven Assembly constituencies in Cooch Behar district. The last one held at Sukanta Mancha in Cooch Behar today.

State Forward Bloc secretariat member and Cooch Behar (West) MLA Mr Akshay Thakur said the conventions have been organised to ensure Left Front unity down to the booth level and also to strengthen the party's organisation by boosting up the morale of the workers.

District Forward Bloc secretary Mr Udayan Guha said in the conventions they explained to the workers why they should keep fighting against Trinamul Congress and the need for a broad based Left Front unity in this district. Replying a question he said the FB started preparing for the polls so early as the LF candidate is of the Forward Bloc in Cooch Behar.
