Asok Bhattacharya in Dinhata

COOCH BEHAR, Feb. 13: State urban development minister Mr Asok Bhattacharya laid foundation of the proposed Rs 86-lakh street widening, divider and beautification project at Dinhata today. At the first phase the work for the 2.5-km divider in Dinhata town is to begin with a fund of Rs 25-lakh.

Later, Mr Bhattacharya addressed a mass meeting of the Left Front at Dinhata Choupathi where leaders like Mr Udayan Guha (FB), Mr Benubadal Chakraborty (CPI-M), Mr Pallab Chaudhury (CPI) and Mr Gopal Chaki (RSP) also spoke.
