KAMAL GUHA REMEMBERED

Kamal Guha's 81st birth anniversary observed

COOCH BEHAR, Jan. 20: The 81-st birth anniversary of late Forward Bloc leader Kamal Guha was observed through different programmes including colourful procession, cultural performance and installation of a statue of the late leader at Dinhata today. The programme will be continued till Thursday.

 

As Dinhata was the hometown of the late leader the major programme was held there, according to the president of Kamal Guha Smriti Raksha Committee, Dr Bidyut Kamal Saha. A memorial booklet was also published on the occasion.

 

In Cooch Behar, a concrete statue of the late leader was installed in front of the office building of the District Forward Bloc today. Senior Forward Bloc leaders including ministers, MLAs and MPs attended the programme. A blood donation camp was also organised where 75 persons donated blood.
