AIYL stir against price rise

 

COOCH BEHAR, July 14: The activists of the All India Youth League (AIYL) made all the offices of the Central government and nationalised banks standstill in Cooch Behar on Monday. They also organised a daylong sit-in demonstration in front of the Head Post Office in the town.

 

The general secretary of the Cooch Behar district unit of the AIYL, Mr Gopal Dey said the programme was organised to stage protest against the souring price hike of fuels and essential commodities. Sit-in demonstrations were also held at the Central offices and banks in the sub-divisions, he said. []
