Workshop on rural livelihood
COOCH BEHAR, Jan. 19: A two-day workshop on 'sustainable rural livelihood empowerment project for northern disadvantaged districts of West Bengal' began at Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya (UBKV) at its Pundibari campus in Cooch Behar today. The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) has sanctioned the Rs 5.5-crore project under National Agricultural Innovation Project (NAIP). The project will be implemented in disadvantaged districts of the state including Uttar Dinajpur, Dakshin Dinajpur and Malda of north Bengal and Murshidabad. []
