Sit-in demonstration

COOCH BEHAR, Dec. 4: Sixteen member-organisations of the 12 July Committee staged a six-hour mass sit-in demonstration in front of the office of the Cooch Behar Sadar SDO today. They were demanding action against the anti-industrialisation and separatist forces and plan to disturb peace in this state. Mr Ashis Goswami (State Co-ordination Committee), Mr Bakul Dutta (ABTA), Mr Debashis Roy (Divisional Insurance Employees' Association), Mr Jagat Jyoti Dutta (CITU), Mr Nikhil Das (ABPTA) and Mr Kishori Mohan Barman (Bank Employees' Federation) spoke on the occasion.
