LIONS CLUB

Plantation programme

 

In association with the volunteers of the National Service Scheme (NSS) the members of the Lions Club of Cooch Behar (Greater) organised a tree plantation programme on 26 July at Acharya Brajendra Nath Seal College premises. NSS programme officer Dhananjay Bhattacharya and lecturers of the ABN Seal College Saikat Naskar, Dipayan Chattopadhyay and Nirmalendu Das were present during the programme along with the Lion and Leo members of the LCCG and NSS student-volunteers. A number of saplings of useful trees were planted on the occasion. Secretary of the LCCG, Jhumka Guha said they organised the programme as a part of their commitment to the society and aware students and people about the importance to keep the city green.
