ELECTION

Rahul Sinha attacks CPI-M

COOCH BEHAR, May 15: Referring the incidents of Dinhata and Basanti the state BJP general secretary Mr Rahul Sinha asked the Forward Bloc and the RSP to come out from the Left Front. Why should you tolerate the misdeeds of the CPI-M only to stay in the Left front as a mere partner, he questioned. At the same time he said the CPI-M knows that the junior partners may bark and never bite because it is hard to leave the ministerial chairs. A minister staged a drama of resignation and then returned to the cabinet. As the CPI-M knows their weaknesses, they will never give any importance to the parties like the FB and the RSP.

The BJP leader also criticised the Trinamul Congress chief Miss Mamata Banerjee. He said the Trinamul leader preached of 'party-less democracy after polls'. She should retire from active politics and go for club and other organisational matters. Mr Sinha said her followers disobeyed her at many places and formed alliances with others against the CPI-M.

Mr Sinha commented that as the state election commission failed to ensure a peaceful election it should be winded up. Instead, the administration and the police may be entrusted the job of holding of elections. Observing that the situation in this state is in favour of imposing of Article 356 he questioned: Who will bell the cat? []
