Informative book published

 

COOCH BEHAR, April 4: The outgoing sabhadhipati of Cooch Behar Zilla Parishad Mr Jnanendra Chandra Chanda unveiled an informative book named "Gramonnayan Darpane Cooch Behar Zilla Parishad" (Cooch Behar Zilla Parishad through the mirror of rural development) in presence of media persons today.

 

Releasing the book Mr Chanda said a total picture of the developmental works of the CZP done during the past five years was described in the book. It may be recalled here that Mr Chanda took over the charge of CZP sabhadhipati on 14 June 2006 when the then sabhadhipati Mr Ananta Roy (now state forest minister) was nominated to contest from Mathabhanga Assembly constituency.

 

Mr Chanda claimed that during his term he tasted success in developing Falimari village of Tufanganj-II block that was a backward and disconnected one since Independence. Bridges and road communication system were also improved. Similar development was done for another village named Putimari-Baxirbos of Cooch Behar Sadar, he said. []
